Swedish skier Johan Oehagen and Norway's Nina Loeseth were the major winners in the Australia-New Zealand Cup slalom races at Mt Hutt in Canterbury today.
The men's title was won by Oehagen in time of one minute 26.46 seconds, ahead of American Mark Engel, who secured silver in 1min 28.96sec, and bronze medallist Luke Laidlaw, of Australia, in 1min 29.00sec.
Tim Cafe was the best of the New Zealanders to finish sixth in 1min 29.71sec.
The women's race was won by Loeseth in 1min 27.56sec, with Slovakia's Barbara Kantorova second in 1min 29.75sec and Japan's Moe Hanaoka third in 1min 30.45sec.
Lucie Tait-Jamieson was the top placed New Zealander in eighth with a time of 1min 46.40sec.
