All the talk is about Shane Cameron's supposed power, but the New Zealand boxer says he will bring deception to his world title fight with Australian Danny Green.
The pair battle for the vacant IBO cruiserweight title in Melbourne tomorrow night.
While much has been made of the power of Cameron, a natural heavyweight who has dropped down a division to get his first crack at a world title, the 35-year-old believes Green might struggle to get a handle on how he will target his attack in this crucial fight.
"It's hard to get a read on me. I knock guys out with my left hand, my right hand, my body shots - any punch I can knock guys out," Cameron said as the two boxers fronted up at a press conference yesterday.
"I have fought differently every single time and I will fight different this time.''
Cameron has knocked out 22 of his 31 opponents while Green has KO'd 28 of his 37 opponents, setting up the possibility of an early finish.
The 39-year-old Green has been on the receiving end of knockout losses in two of his last three fights and admitted the heavy hands of Cameron were a concern.
"I'm possibly looking at the outcome of being unconscious and it's not a pleasant thought,'' Green said.
"We are ready for a war.''
Cameron will have an unlikely ally on his side.
Australian boxing legend Jeff Fenech says he will be backing Cameron when he is ring-side on Wednesday night.
Fenech, also a triple world champion, was once the main man in Green's corner but the pair fell out over what Fenech described as "loyalty" issues.
"I won't say too much but I'll be cheering for Shane, yes," Fenech told the Daily Telegraph.
"There has been some suggestion I'll be in his corner on the night but that's not the case. But I will be in the crowd with friends."
The weigh-in is in Melbourne today with Cameron needing to hit the scales at 89kg or less under a special agreement with Green's management.
