Liam Malone cruises into 400m final at Rio Paralympics
Liam Malone has eased through to the final of the T44 400m at the Rio Paralympics this morning.
Malone came in second behind German David Behre, with a time of 48.34secs - just outside his personal best.
It is Malone's favoured event but his time was still a couple of seconds off the Paralympics record set of 46.68 by Oscar Pistorius in 2012.
Malone will be hoping to add to his medal tally of one silver in the T44 100m and a gold in the T44 200m events.
The final will be tomorrow morning (New Zealand Time).
