Shane Cameron visited an Auckland hospital yesterday after feeling unwell after his loss to American boxer Brian Minto at the weekend.

The Kiwi fighter's manager Ken Reinsfeld confirmed his charge was fine and said rumours he had suffered a major problem since the punishing loss were incorrect.

Fight For Life promoter Dean Lonergan told Fairfax Media last night that Cameron woke yesterday morning "with a bad headache" and went to a hospital after his girlfriend demanded he visit a doctor.

"The doctor checked him out, said it was most probably dehydration and treated him accordingly," said Lonergan.  "He is 100 per cent."

Cameron was well beaten in the bout in Auckland on Saturday night, suffering cuts and other damage from the bruising.

He was kept under observation for two hours yesterday as a precaution before being released to go home.
