It was a day of landmarks for Auckland athlete Cameron Brown as he chalked up his 10th win in the Port of Tauranga half ironman today.
It was the 25th anniversary of the popular event and Brown was forced to chase down rival Mark Bowstead on the final run leg to secure his triumph.
But Brown will have little time to savour his feat. He'll compete in the Auckland 70.3 Ironman event in a fortnight before trying to win his 11th Ironman New Zealand title in early March.
Scotland's Catriona Morrison has powered to victory in the women's race, winning by five minutes.
