It's a match made in sporting heaven. All Blacks captain Richie McCaw and Black Sticks star Gemma Flynn are apparently dating.

Gemma's mum, Michelle, declined to comment when contacted this morning about the NZ Herald report.

Flynn, 22, who plays striker, competed at the London Olympic Games last year, and was also at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Her hometown is Tauranga, but she now studies in Auckland, according to her website.

She lists All Black legend Christian Cullen and netball great Irene van Dyk as her sporting inspirations and enjoys a spot of TV show Grey's Anatomy.

The report comes a month after McCaw, 32, was rumoured to be dating an English woman, who is a friend of the Duchess of Cambridge, and organises high-priced sex parties.

Emma Sayle, 34, was described as 1.83 metres tall, a colonel's daughter, and the boss of Killing Kittens, where strictly vetted couples pay up to $300 each to attend sex parties.

The pair met during the All Blacks' recent northern tour, and McCaw was said to be ready to use his six-month sabbatical from the game to pursue the relationship, according to Woman's Day.

McCaw said in a conversation with former All Blacks coach Sir Graham Henry on RadioLive early last year that he was single.

He jokingly told Henry he would be happy for him to advertise for girlfriends and put them through a screening process.

How long do you think Hawke's Bay will hold the Shield for this time?

Two weeks. Otago will take it easily.

I think they'll defend it until they play Wellington.

The rest of the season. They are too good.

Shield? Hawke's Bay? I thought Counties had it!
