A FAMILY AFFAIR: All Black Ali Williams has announced the birth of his first baby with wife Casey Williams on Twitter.

All Black Ali Williams has announced the birth of his first baby with wife Casey Williams on Twitter.

The Blues captain said their daughter, Jessica Harriet Williams, was born yesterday.

"Our baby girl has arrived, Jessica Harriet Williams, born April 2nd weighing in at 7 lbs. Both Jessica and @MissCaseyGreen are doing great."  

It has been a productive week for expanding sporting families. 

All Blacks team mate Daniel Carter announced the birth of his first child with wife former Black Sticks player Honor Carter on Easter Sunday.  

Their first-born son Marco James Carter was born on March 28, and Honor tweeted he was "happy, healthy & handsome".
