Fresh on the heels of George Smith announcing his retirement form international rugby there are fears across the Tasman that Wycliff Palu is considering overseas offers.
Clubs in Japan and France are reportedly interested in his services with the big backrower awaiting a new offer from his Aussie bosses.
Palu has had a rocky time under Wallabies coach Robbie deans.
He was out of favour during last year's Tri-Nations campaign but stormed back on the end of year tour to start all five tests against All Blacks, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
