England rugby prop Joe Marler to miss Six Nations start with broken leg
Loosehead prop Joe Marler is the latest England casualty ahead of their Six Nations rugby championship opener.
Marler's initial lower leg strain has now been diagnosed as a fracture, meaning he is expected to miss at least half of the Six Nations tournament. England's first match is against France at Twickenham on February 4.
His absence means England are set to meet France without their two top looseheads, with Mako Vunipola also on the injured list.
Chris Robshaw and Manu Tuilagi are also among England's injury absentees, while lock George Kruis won't play any club rugby before the French test while recovering from a fractured cheekbone and James Haskell is set to miss Wasps' weekend match against Toulouse.
