Samoan coach Brian Lima quits after his arrest
Samoa rugby coach Brian Lima has quit his post after being arrested over domestic violence allegations involving his former wife.
Lima has been Manu Samoa defence coach but the Samoa Observer says he has sent a letter to Samoa Rugby Union chairman and Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa'ilele resigning from all "active roles".
The Observer says no reason was given for the resignation.
Last month his former wife, Lemalu Sina Retzlaff, went public over an alleged assault by her ex-husband which had left her with two black eyes, cuts and a badly bruised face.
Lima was charged with causing actual bodily harm and being armed with a dangerous weapon.
He is due in court next week.
