Crusaders and Otago hooker Jason MacDonald will join the Junior All Blacks in Fiji as replacement for Wellington's Ged Robinson.

Robinson had been feeling unwell and subsequently failed a medical test so is returning home to recuperate.

The Junior All Blacks' next game is against Japan at 3.10pm on June 23.
