Welsh rugby giants Llanelli Scarlets have signed former All Black lock Simon Maling as they look to strengthen their squad for next season.

The 32-year-old 11-times capped All Black will leave present club Suntory, of Japan, and join up with his new teammates in July.

The ex-Otago, Highlanders and Harlequins second-rower will join forces with fellow Kiwi Regan King at the Scarlets.
