Chiefs speedster Lelia Masaga has re-signed with Bay of Plenty for this year's national provincial rugby campaign.

Masaga, known to his fans simply as ''Flash'', has scored 15 tries in 21 matches since joining the Steamers in 2010 and said he wanted to help the team win the ITM Cup title this year.

Bay of Plenty chief executive Mike Rogers said Masaga played with ''with passion and enjoyment and those values connect well with our supporters''.

It was as good a season as I can remember.
