On the back of winning the NPC Championship, securing the hosting rights to the 2014 Junior World Championship and the Super Rugby match between the Chiefs and the Western Force next May, Steelers' first-five Baden Kerr has re-signed with Counties Manukau.

Kerr, 23, has committed to the Steelers for the next two years.

"There is no where else I would rather play my rugby. I love the environment at the Steelers and the coaching, so it was a very simple decision to make," said Kerr.

Kerr is a product of the Counties Manukau system and played age-group rugby for the Counties Manukau U18s, U20s, Steelers and the Chiefs development squad before being picked up by the Blues. Baden is one of 10 Steelers to have earned Super Rugby contracts for 2013.

Steelers head coach Tana Umaga said: "Baden is a classy player and a true team man both on and off the field. We are looking forward to having him back next season with his Super Rugby experience and sharing what he has learned with the team."

What did you make of this year's ITM Cup?

It was as good a season as I can remember.

It was great to see the smaller provinces perform well.

I caught the odd game here and there.

Sorry, it was an utter snore-fest.
