Comfortable wins in France has seen the New Zealand women's sevens team through to the quarterfinals.

The New Zealand women's sevens team is safely through to the quarterfinals in Clermont-Ferrand. 

The final leg of the world tour saw the Kiwis dominate their pool matches on Saturday night (NZ time).

First up was a 21-10 win over Japan thanks to tries to Tyla Nathan-Wong, Niall Williams and Ruby Tui.

It was even easier against Ireland in their second match as they won 26-5, while USA posed them their biggest challenge before they ran out 19-14 winners.

They will play Fiji in their quarterfinal on Sunday night (NZ time).
