STARS ALIGN: Backline threats (from left) Jaque Fourie, Bryan Habana and Peter Grant will all line up for the Stormers against the Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday.

The Stormers have added some backline class for Saturday night's Super Rugby showdown with the Chiefs in Hamilton.

First five Peter Grant and wing Bryan Habana are back in the mix and Ricky Januarie gets a start at halfback as they look to bounce back from last week's loss to the Crusaders.

There are five changes to the starting XV.

Januarie comes in for Dewaldt Duvenage who drops to the bench.

Habana's return means Gio Aplon change wings and Johann Sadie is dropped.

Grant is over his knee injury and takes over from Lionel Cronje.

In the pack, big prop CJ van der Linde hasn't recovered from a groin injury from the loss to the Crusaders.

That brings Brok Harris into the starting mix at tighthead and means youngster Steven Kitshoff could make his Super Rugby debut off the bench.

It's the start of a four-match road trip for the Stormers and a real test of their resolve as they look to stay at the head of the South African conference.

The Chiefs, meanwhile, are buoyed by last week's plucky win over the Highlanders and still haven't given up on sneaking into the playoffs.

Stormers:  Conrad Jantjes,  Gio Aplon,  Jaque Fourie,  Jean De Villiers, Bryan Habana,  Peter Grant,  Ricky Januarie,  Duane Vermeulen, Francois Louw,  Schalk Burger (capt),  Andries Bekker,  Rynhardt Elstadt,  Brok Harris,  Deon Fourie,  Wicus Blaauw. Reserves: Tiaan Liebenberg,  Steven Kitshoff,  De Kock Steenkamp, Anton Van Zyl,  Dewaldt Duvenage, Lionel Cronje, Juan De Jongh.
