Chiefs prop Ben Tameifuna has been cited for a dangerous tackle during his team's Super Rugby title win against the Sharks in Hamilton last night.
It comes as a second blow to the massive young front rower who lost his place in the All Blacks squad named this morning.
Tameifuna is alleged to have tackled Ryan Kankowski above the line of the shoulders.
The incident occurred in the 47th minute of the match won by the Chiefs 37-6.
Upon further review of the match footage the Citing Commissioner decided the tackle had met the red card threshold for foul play.
The citing will be heard by Sanzar duty judicial officer Nicholas Davidson QC.
