The coordinates on the sleeves of the five New Zealand Super Rugby special edition Lions jerseys are wrong, with the Blues' placing them at Mt Eden Prison.

The Blues' on field errors appear to be contagious off the field with Adidas unlikely to reissue limited edition jerseys which suggest their match against the British and Irish Lions will be at Mt Eden Prison.

The apparel provider released the jersey for the Lions' tour earlier this month featuring "battleground coordinates" on the sleeves.

But they got all five team's coordinates wrong with the worst being the Blues', which matched up with the prison rather than Eden Park.

A Blues spokesperson told the NZME they had been advised of the error, but were not expecting the jerseys to be re-issued.

"We were advised by adidas of the error with the coordinates on the jersey, and while less than ideal, it will not impact the occasion," the spokesperson said. "Currently the Blues are fully focused on the Super Rugby competition. Longer term we are looking forward to what we trust will be a great spectacle and experience when we play the British and Irish Lions at Eden Park."

The Blues took a light-hearted approach to adidas' error on Twitter posting an image of Mt Eden Prison with the words "Defend your territory".

The Blues' match against the British and Irish Lions is on June 7 at Eden Park.
