Dane Haylett-Petty won't play for the Force in New Zealand.

The Western Force travel to New Zealand without Wallabies star Dane Haylett-Petty because he's being 'rested'.

A 25-man squad was named after the Force's bye week for back-to-back matches in New Zealand against the Crusaders on Friday and the Blues a week later.

But the Force are giving one of their main striker players in Haylett-Petty, who was last year named Wallaby rookie of the year, time off as they bid for shock wins across the Tasman, report Fox Sports.

Haylett-Petty won the first of his 14 Wallabies test caps against England last year and became a regular fixture on the wing.
