Marina Erakovic's run at the French Open has come to an end after she and her Spanish partner, Arantxa Parra Santonja lost in the doubles quarterfinals last night.

They were defeated 7-5, 6-3 by Czech Lucie Hradecka and Michaella Krajicek from the Netherlands.

the match lasted one hour 20 minutes and was played on Court No 2 on a rain interrupted day.

As Erakovic reached the doubles at Roland Garros last year also, she's likely to stay at around 44 in the world when the new rankings come out next week.

Making it to the quarters in the doubles and second round in the singles, means that Erakovic will leave Paris having picked up $97,000 in prize money.
