Marina Erakovic has had her first round opponent at this week's WTA event in Stanford, California changed.
Erakovic, who entered the tournament with a ranking of 49, is the eighth seed.
She was drawn to take on Romania's Sorana Cirstea in the first round, however as a result of a withdrawal of another seeded player, the draw has changed.
The change has benefited Erakovic though, with the Kiwi now set to play qualifier Jana Juricova of Slovakia.
In the doubles, Erakovic will team up with Britain's Heather Watson and they will play Sesil Karatantcheva of Kazakhstan and Japan's Erika Sema in the first round.
The top seed for the tournament, which has a total prize pool of US$740,000, is Wimbledon champion Serena Williams while the draw also includes top 10 player Marion Bartoli.
