Marina Erakovic and her partner Heather Watson have won through to the doubles semi-finals at the WTA event in Stanford, California.
Erakovic and Watson beat second seeded Americans Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigal Spears 7-6, 2-6, 10-4 in the quarter-finals to advance.
While the first set was a tight affair, with Erakovic and Watson prevailing in a tie break, the Americans took over the match in the second set to force a super tiebreak which the Kiwi and her partner won comfortably.
Erakovic is also through to the second round in the singles draw and will play Urszula Radwanska, who she beat in the first round at Wimbledon this year, tomorrow.
Earlier, tournament No 1 seed Serena Williams played her first match of the tournament, comfortable beating fellow American Nicole Gibbs 6-2, 6-1.
