Marina Erakovic has won through to the second round of the WTA tournament in Carlsbad, USA, defeating Britain's Anne Keothavong 6-4 6-0.
It was an impressive start to Erakovic's last tournament before she heads back to Wimbledon for the Olympic Games.
After a tough first set where Erakovic found herself a break down at one point, she went on to dominate the match, while Keothavong didn't help herself, serving 10 double faults over the match that lasted one hour 18 minutes.
The New Zealander is coming off a doubles title win at last week's Bank of the West Classic in San Francisco.
In the second round Erakovic, who moved up to 47 in the world rankings this week, will play the tournament's second seed Dominika Cibulkova from Slovakia.
Cibulkova, who has a world ranking of 15, was given a bye into the second round.
