The New Zealand Fed Cup women's tennis team has won its final round robin contest at the Asia/Oceania Group II in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The team accounted for Singapore 3-0 without dropping a set as Abigail Guthrie won her singles over Khee Yen Wee dropping just one game, while Emily Fanning did the same in her match against Rheeya Doshi.

In doubles, Hayman and Abigail Guthrie won 6-0 6-1 against Geraldine Ang and Rehmat Johal.

The Kiwi team is without Marina Erakovic, who has returned to New Zealand after a thumb injury when she fell in the tournament hotel.

New Zealand now play Philippines in their crossover match with the second-placed team from the other group for third and fourth overall.
