Kiwi tennis No 1 Marina Erakovic has moved comfortably through to the second round in the doubles competition at Wimbledon.

With Zimbabwean partner Cara Black, Erakovic beat Heather Watson (Britain) and Mervana Jugic Salkic (Bosnia and Herzegovina) 6-2 6-0 this morning.

Erakovic and Black will play the winner of the first round clash between the pairing of Lara Arruabarrena-Monica Puig and Eugenie Bouchard-Petra Martic.

The New Zealander won through to the second round in the singles yesterday and will play 24th seed Peng Shuai from China overnight tonight (NZ time).

The duo have met just once before, also on grass, when Peng won a qualifying match at Birmingham two years ago 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

Erakovic and Peng are the third match on court two tonight. The first match starts at 10pm New Zealand time.
