My all time sporting great would be wood chopper Jason Wynyard.

He has won five indivdual Stihl Timbersport World Championships, in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, plus two as part of the New Zealand team in 2010 and 2012 while finishing second as part of the NZ team in 2011.

He has also won the Tony Wise All-Around Champion at the World Lumberjack Championships for 14 consecutive years up to and including 2012.

He has won more than 110 world titles.

Wynyard, from west Auckland, has also won the Stihl Timbersport series in the USA 10 times in the past 15 years.

This was during an era where the other five titles were won by another great NZ wood chopper, the late David Bolstad.
