Pimped my ride: The complete rebuild
I bought the car from the UK as a 1984 RWD 1600cc Ford Sierra and used it on the road for about a year.
But then I decided to build a Cosworth replica out of it, and started the ground-up build.
I stripped the car to the very last nut and bolt and then sourced all the running gear parts from a Sierra V6 2.8 xr 4x4 for transplanting. In the search for more horsepower I added a turbo.
After a six-year rebuild it was fully certified as road legal, and is an approved race car which is used at various events.
I have since changed the engine, and the car is powered by a Nissan FJ20 turbo four-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive.
This is "car enthusiasts car".
Pimped my ride is an ongoing Stuff Nation assignment. To contribute hit the green button.
