I'm working my way through the DVD collection of Columbo.

It's (mostly) superb. It's interesting to watch these all in a short space of time and in order (I was always catching an occasional episode before).

You can see the development of Columbo's character, played by Peter Falk, and how, in many episodes, he was sympathetic to a crime's perpetrator.

Falk, who died in June last year, was underrated and is sadly missed.
