I bought an 1987 Honda Prelude back in 2005. It was the second car I'd bought and was an upgrade from the Nissan EXA I had before.
I spent five years doing it up and loved every bit of it. I've entered it in Auto Salon and four and rotary, as well as a smaller car show in Ashburton.
It's been in Performance Car magazine twice for the shows I'd entered and I've had Performance Car television interview me about my ride and what I'd done.
Nothing has been more rewarding than doing up a car that wasn't the typical type of car to modify.
I unfortunately sold my car when I moved to Australia but regret it a lot. I spent around $20k to get it from stock standard to looking pretty damn good.
Best thing out of all this is I'm a female car enthusiast proving to the boys out there that girls can do it too.
