An idea to 'change our society for good' You don't have to live like a student to save This is how we can make our roads safer Preparation over skill gives ABs the edge It was easier to drink than deal with life Are you ready to make a change? Giving an animal in need new life From hand to mouth to homeowner Imagining the tension filling the night sky These are a few of my favourite things

I adopted Yuki from the Dunedin SPCA. He was a long-haired, ginger mature cat.

He ran away, much to my chagrin, and I asked the SPCA to give me a ring if he came back. One day, seven months later they did. It turned out Yuki had walked back to his first owner at Doctor's Point about 25 km away. This had taken him seven months. The old owner brought him back to the SPCA.

I took him home and two days later he ran away again.

The next day I saw him in a tree and I said "It's up to you Yuki, you can stay in a loving home with me or you can go back to someone who doesn't want you."

Yuki looked at me long and hard, came inside and settled down beside me on the couch for many happy years.
