I think some people in New Zealand are a bit too in love with their cars. Like, my neighbour who always drives to the dairy which is only around the corner from her house about 300m away.

I always catch the train to get to work. I live in Panmure, Auckland and I catch the train to Britomart.

It's so much cheaper and quite a bit faster, too. The other thing I like about it is that I get to read my emails on my smartphone or read the news on the way to work or even sometimes read a book. You can't do that while driving!

I walk to the train station which takes about 10 minutes and is also good for my health and the environment.
