I use to hate windy days. They're often cloudy and cold, even in summer. Then three years ago a friend introduced me to kiteboarding and my life changed.

I've always been in to water sports and scuba diving has taken me all over New Zealand, but kiteboarding is like nothing else I've tried.

It takes skill, courage, sharp wits, flexibility and balance and the rewards it delivers are both addictive and inspiring.

Being from Ireland it has introduced me to some great people that are now close friends and it has changed the way I feel about windy days for the rest of my life.
