I'm seeking some profit margin from New Zealand's relationship with the royal family.

If we're making money out of it then so may the royal relationship continue.

If we're not, let's stop the charade, dispense with them and get on with our own agenda. A new flag, a new identity, a new self confidence.

Given the economic crisis and the necessity to cut costs it may well be a good time to rethink what's best for our country in real terms anyway. One does have to question the need. In this day and age it's all a bit of soapbox as far as I'm concerned.

The royals are out of touch with reality. The luxury and waste all it our expense isn't really necessary.

Give it a miss, or alternatively take them off the Christmas card list!
