Share your vision for Christchurch: A green city
ROGER GRANT MASLOWSKI
Why stop at larger green areas at ground level in the rebuild plan for Christchurch? The roofs of the buildings should also be greened with native grasses and shrubs.
This would be very aesthetically pleasing and also go with our clean and green New Zealand image.
These areas could also be used by birds as nesting sites and as elevated spaces for people to use as leisure areas with great views.
It's got pluses for the environment, the public, Christchurch and New Zealand!
There is nothing worse than the look of concrete.
