New Zealand International Film Fesitval review: Iris Mental illness: 'I don't have to do it alone' No good option for a new NZ national anthem A week in my reality as a solo mum Pet of the day: Gunnar the husky Weather photo of the week: July 31, 2015 Top five reader comments for Thursday Have you ever been a lab rat? Mental illness 'just another injury' Does New Zealand need a new national anthem?

Simple and basic. These are the two words that make Richie McCaw such a great leader.

He makes sure the basics are done over and over and when our backs are against the wall he manages to get it inside our men's heads that all they need to do are the simple things.

It is for this reason we are always singing his praises, and so is every one else (not just in New Zealand).

As far as being the best ever, I think all his statistics speak for themselves.

But I don't want everyone to go on and on about him being the best yet, because he hopefully still has three seasons left in the All Blacks' jersey.

All of New Zealand will be hoping McCaw's time off will be restful, relaxing, reinvigorating and last, but definately not least, enjoyable for a man who has beaten his body up so many times for the love of his country and the black jersey.

Enjoy your time off Richie and we all can't wait for you to be back for the Rugby Championship in 2013.
