People in our house would be lost without Sky TV. We love UK TV, Prime, the Living Channel and Kidzone and all the Discovery channels.

The children only watch the children's programmes on Sky, the programmes for children on the free-to-air TV2 and TV3 are for the braindead and ignorant and are full of advertising. When TVNZ sold off Kidzone we moved to Sky.

I enjoy a lot of BBC programmes and watch Coronation Street, but we don't watch any reality programmes except for Dancing on Ice and Come Dancing, as these are relevant to our family's interests.

I'm tired of constant murder and gore. Please no more Come Dine With Me. I have no interest in young women and their mothers behaving like cheap whores. Being the child of someone famous dosen't interest us either.

I could grump on about this all day, but I guess you get the picture. As for the ratings, they're a science of deception, nothing more.
