I was surprised to see that in the middle of this blistering fine weather, Kilbirnie and Wellington International Airport had a surprising amount of fog at noon on Monday.

I came through the tunnel to Seatoun and it had cleared but for the harbourmouth. Suddenly a foghorn sounded and the Aratere emerged from the mist.
