Is getting a degree in New Zealand worth it?

No. I have three children in their 20s. All of them studied at Victoria, all worked and lived at home while at university, all still have $20,000-plus student loans.

Number three leaves next week to join her siblings in Australia, where I have to say, they are earning four times more than they would be earning in New Zealand as a graduate and they love the lifestyle that comes with it.

They tried and tried and tried to get employment here but they got rejected too often and didn't even get as far as interviews.
