I got this recipe from a friend in Wisconsin. She served it up on a snowy winter's day and even then it was a nice meal. It's a very easy and very tasty salad,enough for an entree on its own.

It is also great served with baked salmon and plain boiled small potatoes.

The sesame seeds and poppy seeds are optional, but are very nice in the salad and will add a wee "crunch". You can also toast them if you wish

1 bag of baby spinach leaves – washed and stalks removed
1 punnet of strawberries – washed and then halved or quartered
1 packet pf pecan nuts (125g)
1/4 cup castor sugar or honey
1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional).
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tbsps oil

1. Mix together spinach, strawberries and nuts in a bowl

2. In a blender, mix together all other ingredients until well blended. Pour over salad, mix gently and serve.
