ASSIGNMENT:

Kids and career: Your experience

We want to hear about your experiences of navigating pregnancy and family while building a career.
MONIQUE FORD/STUFF

We want to hear about your experiences of navigating pregnancy and family while building a career.

Should women face questions about their baby plans from employers - or TV presenters?

Hours into the Labour leadership job, Jacinda Ardern was already being quizzed about her thoughts on starting a family.

She's been open about the dilemma between a career and wanting kids, but she told AM Show panellist Mark Richardson his comments that employers should know women's baby plans before hiring were "totally unacceptable" in 2017.

Have you received unwanted questions about your parenthood plans - whether you're a man or a woman? Have you had to make a difficult decision about prioritising work or family?

We want to hear about your experiences of navigating pregnancy and family while building a career.

Perhaps you were passed over for a job or promotion, felt pushed out the workplace during maternity leave, or struggled to fit back in once you returned to work after having children.
