It's no secret that Australia is a favourite with Kiwi travellers.

According to House of Travel, over one million Kiwis travel to Australia each year, and things can get a bit crowded at our favourite spots.

Data collated by travel site trivago.com shows that Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast are amongst the top Aussie destinations that we travel to.

But where are the hidden gems outside those iconic locations?

We're on the hunt for off-the-beaten-track delights; the lonely stretch of beach that has the most gorgeous sunset views; the tiny shack that has the best fish and chips you've ever tried; the new resort your family can't get enough of.

If you've holidayed in Australia (and most of your have), then you have a favourite spot.

Hit the big green button to tell us about your favourite hidden gem across the ditch. Make sure to include some pictures that illustrate why your holiday was so special.
