Thursday marks four years since a 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook Cantabrians out of their beds at 4.35am on September 4.

The massive earthquake injured many and destroyed thousands of homes and buildings. It also marked the beginning of a terrifying sequence of earthquakes that shook our region for about two years.

Now four years on the ground has stilled and many have had their homes repaired. New bars, restaurants and office blocks are emerging.

Does it feel like the beginning of a fresh start for Christchurch and Canterbury? Are you excited about the future of our city and surrounding towns?

Or four years on, are you still waiting for major repairs, shuttling between temporary homes, locked in battle with bureaucracy? Are you, or those close to you, still stressed, anxious, struggling to cope?

Perhaps you remain incredulous at the slow pace of recovery and frustrated by the dead-ends and detours of our traffic-cone plagued roads?

What is your story? Can you describe your situation and your outlook in about 200 words?
