How would you change the Nix's fortunes?
Ernie Merrick has resigned as Wellington Phoenix coach saying he took "full responsibility" for the team's early season troubles.
Merrick addressed the team following a 2-0 loss to Adelaide United and the club formally announced the resignation the following day.
At the latter end of the competition things aren't looking much better. The Phoenix now sit just five points above the wooden spoon and might be taking a few nervous looks down with only four games remaining in the regular season.
Merrick had assembled what was widely regarded as one of the best Phoenix squad's ever this season, but the results have not come.
So now with Merrick gone, what do the club need to do to turn their fortunes around?
Chris Greenacre and Des Buckingham have been named as interim coaches, but who would you appoint to the job on a permanent basis?
Is there any particular area of the squad that needs strengthening in the transfer window? Or should players from the U20 squad be given a chance in the first team?
Does it simply come down to who is in the starting side and changing from a 4-3-3 formation? Let us know how you would fix the Phoenix.
