Does NZ need the royal family?
Does one like it? Or does one not?
As a new heir to the British throne is born, we want to know what you think of New Zealand's relationship with the royal family.
There's no doubt that the royals still caputure the public's imagination; Kiwis turned out in droves when Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, toured our shores and royal baby fever has been a world-wide epidemic.
But how relevant are the royals to New Zealand? Should we continue to pay homage or do we start thinking about when to call it a day?
If we do, what becomes of the governor general's role?
