Whichever way you look at it, being dumped, or psyching yourself up to dump someone are never the best of times.

They both have that pit-of-stomache ache or churn, and there's usually some feeling of dread, hopelessness and sadness about the whole situation.

So although we like to think we wouldn't react like this, we can sympathise with the woman who threw a 90-minute tantrum after being dumped by text.

Surely getting the heave-ho by text goes against the unwritten rules...? Aren't we all meant to end our relationships on the best terms we can?

Sometimes it feels like anything goes, so we want to know, what's the worst break-up you've been through?

Were you dumped in the middle of a concert, on your birthday or even by email or text?

Did your partner just never call you back, or say they were just nipping out, never to return?

What are your dos and don'ts for dumping someone?
