Share your memories of Forlongs How to tackle begging? Single and satisfied or desperate and dateless? How can NZ be smokefree by 2025? He beat thousands of nominated teachers to win the accolade, proving that although teaching can be tough, their hard work is appreciated by pupils and parents.

So we'd love to hear about the teachers who've had the biggest impact on your life.

Was it a math teacher who taught you the value of money? An English teacher who encouraged your passion for writing? Or maybe a teacher who simply believed in you when it seemed like no-one else did.

How did they help you and what made them special? Was kindness their way through to you and your classmates, or did a strict but fair approach earn your grudging respect?
