Expat Tales: Calling all Kiwi expats
Packing your bags and starting a new life in another part of the world is nothing more than a distant dream for many of us.
But we all know a few brave souls who have made that dream a reality - and if you're one of them, we want to hear from you.
We want to know what's good and bad about your new country, how it compares to life in New Zealand and what made you go there in the first place. We'll publish the best stories on Stuff and in the Sunday Star Times' Escape.
All you have to do is fill out the questions below in no more than 700 words. Send us four high-resolution, landscape photos and captions of your hometown. Please include at least one of yourself (along with the full names of the person/people/places in the photos):
What is your full name and where are you from?
What inspired your move, and how long have you been there?
What do you do there?
What are the greatest advantages to living there?
How expensive is it compared to New Zealand? How much is a beer?
What do you do in your spare time?
What's the local delicacy and would you recommend eating it?
Easiest way to get around?
What's the shopping like?
Best after-dark activity?
Best time of year to visit?
What are the top three things you recommend for visitors?
Besides family and friends, what do you miss most about home?
How easy is it for you to get back to NZ?
For Kiwis looking to move there, which industries are seeking fresh talent?
