As NCEA results were released today, thousands of pupils across the country went online to see how they fared last year.

It's a nervous time for parents, teachers and pupils.

We'd like to share the stories of pupils who shone in the National Certificate of Educational Achievement results.

NCEA stars aren't necessarily those with the best grades, but often those who worked hard and achieved a personal goal.

Maybe pupils worked hard to earn a merit for the first time. Maybe they overcome some personal challenges to succeed. Or maybe they just deserve a pat on the back for their contribution to their school in 2013.

Help give credit beyond the results by sharing their stories.
