It's been more than 20 years since Martin Crowe's side lit up the 1992 Cricket World Cup and the country jumped on for the ride.

Mark Greatbatch smashed his way back into cricket fans' hearts, while players like Rod Latham and Gavin Larsen became cult heroes. Crowe, himself, was sublime.

And now, with the Black Caps appearing to turn a corner, next year's tournament, the 40th and being held jointly between New Zealand and Australia, promises more great thrills.

Before the action gets under way we want you to share your favourite moment from a previous world cup.

Tell us why it was so good, what it meant to you, what it meant in the context of the tournament and to the game.

While there will be plenty of on-field moments, it might also be something you experienced off the field - a moment with a player or family and friends.
