The battle of the bulge in New Zealand is showing no signs of slimming down, so what do you think needs to be done to help Kiwis fight fat?

Research suggests banning junk food advertising may be the best way to tackle childhood obesity, but how effective do you think that would be?  

And the British government is planning to introduce a sugar tax on soft drinks from 2018 in order to improve children's health. New Zealand research has shown we could save lives and reduce our obesity burden if we followed suit. Should we?

In 2014, health advocates said drastic intervention was needed to stave off a diabetes crisis in New Zealand.
